On March 11th, President Trump gave a speech from the Oval Office on the Coronavirus.
During the speech, he announced a 30-day suspension on travel from Europe (excluding the United Kingdom). He also proposed some emergency actions to provide support to Americans during the crisis.
These proposals included financial relief for hourly workers, additional liquidity from the Small Business Administration for low-interest loans, an extension of the April 15th tax deadline for some individuals and businesses, and payroll tax relief legislation.
The World Health Organization has officially declared the Coronavirus outbreak a “pandemic.”
