  • The U.S. economy added 223,000 net (non-farm) jobs in May.
  • Unemployment fell to 3.8%, the lowest rate in 18 years.
  • The unemployment rate for African-Americans fell to 5.9%, the lowest ever on record.
  • This is the 92nd consecutive month in which the United States has seen job growth.
  • Year-over-year wage growth reached 2.7%.
