Should the US leave Syria?
Apr 2, 2018 at 01:44 AM

The Quick Facts

The nation of Syria has been engulfed in civil war and unrest since 2011. The violent conflict has resulted in a major humanitarian and refugee crisis in the region. The United States led an international military intervention in Syria in 2014 and has since maintained an active, open-ended military position in the country with the goal of removing Syrian president Bashar Assad.

Last week, President Trump stated in a speech in Ohio that the US military will be "coming out of Syria very soon."

Food For Thought

What is the best approach to take in Syria? Should the US maintain a presence in the country?
