Sen. Bernie Sanders has been showing strength with primary voters. Last week, CBS News and YouGov polls showed Sanders in a three-way tie for first place with Biden and Buttigieg in Iowa, and with a narrow lead in New Hampshire.
This comes as Senator Elizabeth Warren's poll numbers are falling, leading some to speculate about a possible consolidation of the left-wing of the Democratic Party.
Then, CNN broke a story claiming that Sanders told Warren in a private 2018 meeting that he didn't believe a woman could win against President Trump. Sanders disputes this statement, but Warren stands by the story.
The 2020 Iowa Democratic caucuses will take place on Monday, February 3rd. The final debate before the Iowa caucus takes place on Tuesday, January 14th.
Food For Thought
What is driving Sanders' strong poll numbers? How would he fare in a potential general election against President Trump?
