  • Saturday morning, August 3rd, in El Paso, Texas, a white gunman with anti-Hispanic motivations killed 20 and injured 26.
  • Just after midnight on August 4th in Dayton, Ohio, another 9 people were killed and 27 injured by a gunman with a semiautomatic rifle.
  • These events brought 2019 to its deadliest weekend of mass shootings, and to a total of 251 mass shootings (classified as four or more deaths, not including the gunman) this year.
